Robyn is an Accredited Family Law Specialist and has worked exclusively as a Family Lawyer for over 28 years.  She graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1991 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1992 and the High Court of Australia in 1993.

Robyn has been practising Family Law since 1992, became an Accredited Family Law Specialist in 1999 and a Nationally Accredited Mediator with AIFLAM in 2014.

Robyn is rated by Doyle’s Guide in Western Australia, 2020 as a

  1. Preeminent Leading Family & Divorce Lawyers; and
  2. Recommended Leading Family Law Mediators.

Robyn is also an approved Arbitrator with AIFLAM and is available to receive instructions to conduct Arbitrations under the Family Law Act.

Robyn’s interests in Family Law are wide ranging and, in particular, include matters involving Businesses, Trusts, Companies and large Property Settlements, Injunctions, Spousal Maintenance, Parenting, Child Support and associated matters.  She is also familiar with Trust disputes which might involve third parties (such as parents or other entities) in the Family Court or litigation in other courts, such as the Supreme Court.

Robyn combines her extensive Family Law knowledge with a practical and pragmatic approach to ensure she can obtain the best possible outcome for her client, tailored for each client’s specific circumstances.  In the event parties are able to reach agreement regarding their matters, Robyn is highly experienced in formalizing such agreements by way of Financial Agreements or Consent Orders.

Robyn has presented or co-presented Papers at many seminars since 2016, including on Financial Agreements to the Family Law Practitioner’s Association and Legalwise in 2016 and on Untangling the Discretionary Family Trusts to Legalwise and Law Central in 2017.  Also in 2017, Robyn Chaired a Seminar for the Law Society in relation to financial matters in Family Law Practice.  In March 2018, Robyn was a co-presenter with other senior family lawyers for Legalwise discussing Mediation in a Seminar entitled, Alternatives to Litigation – How to Identify the Best Path for Your Client.  In March 2019 Robyn took part in a presentation for Legalwise on How to Arbitrate and Mediate: A Practical Guide.  In November 2019 Robyn co-presented at a Legalwise seminar entitled Fundamentals Trusts, Tax, SMSF Issues for Family Lawyers.

Robyn is a Member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, the Family Law Practitioner’s Association of Western Australia and the Law Society of Western Australia.
