Linda is professional, efficient and has excellent mentoring and leadership skills.
Linda graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws in 1999. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2000 and to the High Court of Australia in 2003.
Linda commenced working in the area of Family and Divorce Law in 2000 and has not looked back. She joined Kim Wilson & Co in 2006 as a Senior Associate and became a Director on 1 July 2007.
Linda became an Accredited Family Law Specialist in 2009.
Linda is rated by Doyle’s Guide as one of the Preeminent Lawyers with respect to Family Law Matters, a Leading Lawyer with respect to High-Value Family Law Matters and also as a Recommended Lawyer with respect to Parenting Law matters in Western Australia, 2019.
She has also been recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a recommended Leading Family and Divorce Lawyer in Australia, 2020.
Linda undertook the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators Mediation Training Course in 2014 and is a Nationally Accredited Mediator (AIFLAM). She has extensive Family Law experience and has participated in a large number of successful Mediations, in both financial and parenting matters.
She is happy to receive instructions to conduct Mediations and is also available to work with clients in a Mediation to achieve a result.
Linda is experienced in all areas of Family and Divorce Law including, financial matters, preparing Consent Orders, drafting Financial Agreements and arrangements for children.
Linda works with other professionals such as commercial lawyers, accountants and other experts, to gather as much information and knowledge as possible, to deliver exceptional service to her clients.
Linda is a member of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Western Australia and the Law Society of Western Australia. Linda enjoys being involved and helping to organise and to participate in events which expands on her and others knowledge in Family Law.
Linda has served as Vice President of the Family Law Practitioner’s Association of Western Australia for 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 Council when she Chaired the Law Reform Committee. She has also served as the Secretary and held a position as an Ordinary Council Member for many years.
In her role current as Vice-President for the 2018/2019 Council, Linda Chairs the Events Sub-Committee of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of WA. This involves organising the CPD and Social events for the Family Law Practitioners’ Association members.
Linda was instrumental in Kim Wilson & Co Family Lawyers becoming a Quality Assured Practice and continues to ensure Kim Wilson & Co Family Lawyers delivers professional services to our clients and others.
She is motivated by a commitment to bring her organisational skills to each matter she is involved with and to every role she takes on.
