Linda is professional, efficient and has excellent mentoring and leadership skills.
Linda graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws in 1999. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2000 and to the High Court of Australia in 2003.
Linda commenced working in the area of Family and Divorce Law in 2000 and has not looked back. She joined Kim Wilson & Co in 2006 as a Senior Associate and became a Director on 1 July 2007.
Linda became an Accredited Family Law Specialist in 2009.
Linda is rated by Doyle’s Guide as one of the Preeminent Family & Divorce Lawyers – Western Australia, 2017 and Leading Family & Divorce Lawyer – Western Australia, 2016.
Linda undertook the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators Mediation Training Course in 2014 and is a Nationally Accredited Mediator (AIFLAM). She has extensive Family Law experience and has participated in a large number of successful Mediations, in both financial and parenting matters.
She is happy to receive instructions to conduct Mediations and is also available to work with clients in a Mediation to achieve a result.
Linda is experienced in all areas of Family and Divorce Law including, financial matters, preparing Consent Orders, drafting Financial Agreements and arrangements for children.
Linda works with other professionals such as commercial lawyers, accountants and other experts, to gather as much information and knowledge as possible, to deliver exceptional service to her clients.
Linda is a member of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Western Australia and the Law Society of Western Australia. Linda enjoys being involved and helping to organise and to participate in events which expands on her and others knowledge in Family Law.
Linda has been re-elected as Vice President for the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia for the 2018 Council. Linda was Vice President for the Family Law Practitioner’s Association of Western Australia 2016/2017 Council and served as the Secretary of the 2015/2016 Council. Prior to that, Linda served as an Ordinary Council Member.
In her role as Vice-President, Linda Chairs the Law Reform Sub-Committee of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of WA. This involves reviewing Consultation Papers for State and the Commonwealth Government projects, also participating in research projects with various organisations.
She is also a member of the following committees:
- AIFLAM Committee for the Western Australian branch;
- Mental Health and Wellbeing Committee (Law Society of Western Australia);
- Law Access Stakeholder Advisory Committee (Law Society of Western Australia).
Linda was instrumental in Kim Wilson & Co Family Lawyers becoming a Quality Assured Practice and continues to ensure Kim Wilson & Co Family Lawyers delivers professional services to our clients and others.
She is motivated by a commitment to bring her organisational skills to each matter she is involved with and to every role she takes on.
