Commonwealth Parliamentary Inquiry into Australia’s family law system
On 17 September 2019, the Prime Minister and Attorney General announced the Government’s intention to hold a Parliamentary inquiry into the family law system.
In announcing the inquiry, the Attorney General said “amongst other issues, it will address important operational issues of enforcement of Court Orders and legal costs to families of family law proceedings, with a particular focus on instances where legal fees are disproportionate to the total asset pool or issues in dispute”.
The Committee conducting the Inquiry is now accepting Submissions.
Further information in relation to the Inquiry is available on the Committee’s website.
